Camela and Claire began The Home Curators after recognizing a niche to help busy families and individuals tackle home organizing, decluttering, downsizing, moving, and other home-related services. Keeping a home in order can be difficult at times, especially when life is busy. However, with the right professional help, an orderly home can be attainable and we are here to help!

The Home Curators is a service-based business in Nelson BC, designed to help create comfortable spaces that function optimally for every client’s unique needs. Our Organizing Services can be applied to any room in your home, from a closet or pantry to the storage room, garage, or the entire home. We also offer Home Staging for real estate sales which aims to showcase the optimized version of your home thus maximizing market potential. With our Moving Management Services, we can facilitate all of your move including, but not restricted to, booking your moving truck and managing the packing, unpacking within the Central Kootenays. Our Deep Clean Services offer homeowners a ‘one off’ deep clean that allows us to get into all those far-reaching places that are too time consuming for regular cleaning.
Introducing Camela and Claire
Camela has a varied work history in environmental non-profits, community economic development organizations, media, corporate administration, healing modalities and career counseling. She has often played roles as Teacher, Project Coordinator, Executive Administrator, Coach, Therapist and Counsellor. With degrees in Environmental Studies and Community Economic Development, as well as advanced training in Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda, she has a deep passion for being of service to others, helping people overcome challenges, and organizing complex portfolios. Her out-of-the-box thinking is a valuable asset in the world of organizing as she enjoys seeing from multiple perspectives.
Claire jumped into the home organizing business shortly after helping her friend declutter, downsize and pack up her home to emigrate. Since this experience, Claire has helped orchestrate downsizing, moving management, home staging, deep cleans and more! Raising a large and busy family, Claire knows firsthand how easily the home can tip into chaos and become an energy drain, she realizes the importance of keeping a household clutter free and organized, and understands not everyone has this aptitude. Claire has been actively involved in the design and building process through her own two home builds and two full scale home renovations; she has a passion for home design and finding solutions to create optimal functional space. Claire spent many years working in the tourism industry and owned and operated a successful B&B in the Rockies, before becoming a mother. All of Claire’s life experiences augment the professional skills for the services The Home Curators offers.
